| Making a Referral |
 |
Our admission criteria:
- Applicants are ex-offenders or those at risk of offending.
- Residents are 18 years of age or above. Some projects work with older offenders and operate a different minimum age (please see individual Project Information Sheets).
- Two of our projects work with women. The Rothera Project in Bradford and some units at the Kent Resettlement Project are for women only.
- The Bedford Project was originally restricted to Bedfordshire clients under supervision but is now able to consider a wider spectrum of referrals.
Who can make a referral:
- Person seeking a place
- Social Workers
- Prison Chaplains
- Probation Officers
- Prison Officers
- Drug Workers
- Mental Health Teams
- Community Psychiatric Nurses
- Hospitals
- Resettlement Officers
- Any other concerned party
How placements are funded:
Our projects provide a varied range of services for residents, tailored to individual needs. In order to achieve this they often draw on a mix of funding streams. Funding comes from three sources:
- Supporting People, income from rents and service charges, residents' personal rent contributions (including a claim for Housing Benefit)
- Community Care funding
- Funding authorised by the Home Office, for harder to place ex-offenders
If you require assistance to determine which source of funding is required for a particular referral, please contact the Operations Director at the appropriate Regional Office. Details can be found in the Contact Us section.
