On 14th October 2014, Langley House Trust and Kainos Community, celebrated in style to launch our respective Annual Reviews at the House of Lords. Langley celebrated a 2.6% reconviction rate whilst ex-offenders were with us in 2013-14, with Kainos celebrating that 84% of graduates from the Challenge to Change programme did not reoffend in the first year following release from prison.
Hosted by Baroness Kathleen Richardson (one of Langley’s patrons), we were joined by guest speakers, Norman Lamb, Minister of State for the Department of Health, and Terry Waite CBE (pictured), a former hostage in Lebanon.
Over 100 guests joined us from a variety of sectors including Criminal Justice, Care, Housing, Business and the Third Sector.
The celebration events kicked off with a service of Thanksgiving at Methodist Central Hall Westminster, with the Rt Revd Bishop James Langstaff, newly appointed Bishop to Prisons.
