Breakout – Winter 2021

Breakout Winter 2021-22

As we look towards Christmas in this edition, we are thinking about the things we tend to do and the way we behave because it’s Christmas time; at Langley we believe it is ‘Not Just for Christmas’! We strive to put on our ‘Christmas best’ all year round – offering hope, encouragement, our time and care to those who need it every day of the year, not just for the Christmas season. Our values play a significant part in this and we are so thankful for our staff and volunteers who believe in bringing the best of themselves to work, so that clients can be supported well all year round.

Hope is not just for Christmas. We strive to put on out “Christmas best” all year round.

In this edition we are also bidding farewell to some dear colleagues. Many of you will recognise Dee Spurdle, who has been our Head of Fundraising for 7 years and Head of Communications for a year as well. We are grateful for all that Dee has contributed during her time with us and we wish her every success and blessing as she leaves Langley. This Breakout also gives us the opportunity to hear from one of our directors who is retiring, David Wm Reynolds, and also Philip Hilton who has served on our Board of Trustees for 9 years now.

We have some great news to share in Chaplaincy and across Fundraising, so make sure you have your cuppa in hand and take a walk through Langley’s winter season with me.

Your support is invaluable and on behalf of all of us at Langley House Trust, thank you once again, and God bless you.

Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to you all!

Ali Hancock
Head of Communications
