Over 40 staff members from Carillion joined Langley on 2nd December 2014, donating their time, skills and talents as part of Giving Tuesday. The services specialist sent employees from across their business units to 5 different Langley projects in London, Coventry Rochdale, Bradford and Taunton.

Carillion staff helped with practical activities in the morning – including painting, decorating, gardening and cleaning – and took part in sessions on forgiveness and empathy in the afternoon.

Feedback from the event was overwhelmingly positive, with Carillion staff members better understanding the challenges that men and women face when turning their lives around after prison.

Had a wonderful day at the Langley House Trust hostel in Croydon yesterday! The team down there does a fantastic job helping the residents get back on their feet, and we contributed a small amount by cleaning the kitchen and tending to the garden. A job well done to all involved – feeling super proud!
