“I used to put drugs before everything else – I won’t put drugs before myself this time.

“Before I came to Langley, I was a heavy drug user and I didn’t care about life.

“I had blood clots in my legs and I wasn’t bothered. I didn’t wash and only ever got up to buy drugs. I was heavily depressed and used to wake up crying. I didn’t care if I died.

“I’ve changed since coming to Langley – Langley was the best decision I have ever made. I don’t know where I’d be if I hadn’t come here.

“The staff are really great and their support has given me more confidence. They gave me the opportunity to work in the kitchen which helped keep my mind off drugs – they put a lot of trust in me and I don’t want to let them down.

“Life’s a lot better now. I’m doing an NVQ Level 2 in Catering and starting to see that I have a bit of a future.

“Langley gave me structure and gave me the chance of a life. I like it here – I’m happy here. I just want a normal life and want to be happy – like everyone else.”
