Langley attended the Crisis Sharing Solutions Conference on 26th March 2015 with over 40 other organisations – including charities, universities, funders and local government agencies. The conference providing insights and solutions for helping people to share housing successfully to reduce homelessness – particularly for those under the age of 35.
The event was opened by Jon Sparkes (pictured), CEO of Crisis, who outlined the plight of young people and homelessness – with Crisis research showing that young people rough sleeping in London had doubled in the last four years.
Dr. Stephen Green from Sheffield Hallam University launched the Sharing Solutions Programme Evaluation and Crisis also launched their ‘Sharing Solutions toolkit’.
An estimated £5.21 of savings was generated for every £1 grant funding received within the Crisis-funded Sharing Solutions schemes.
Langley has been funded by Crisis to run a private rented sector housing scheme for offenders under a previous funding round which has helped to reduce reoffending and homelessness.
