Langley residents from across four different projects took part in our own ‘Bake Off’ challenge, inspired by the BBC’s Great British Bake-off.
The entries ranged in style, shape and size and were mostly inspired by Langley’s mission to help people live crime-free after prison.
One of the most innovative designs showed how Langley’s values were like building blocks to living crime-free.
The winning residents were delighted and commented on how the challenge had built their confidence and self-esteem – central components of turning lives around after crime. One resident in our Fleetwood project had never done anything like this in his life and his entry reflected his determination to learn new skills and start afresh after prison.
The challenge has inspired a national Langley Bake Off in December which will see projects and central teams entering across the country in an effort to win first place.
